Three medals for Fighter Muay Thai at the European Championship in thaiboxing

Yesterday Fighter Muay Thai and Shooters MMA Fight Team had three fighters in action at the European Championship Tournament in Thaiboxing which takes place in Krakow, Poland.

Elina Nilsson fought the Finale in -75 kg A-class against Andrean Ivas from Croatia. Ivas was much bigger than Nilsson but despite that the fight was even. The first round was more or less even in the scorecards, Ivan won the second round and Nilsson won the third and final round. Ivas got the win by points. Gold for Ivas and Silver for Nilsson

Evelina Wikner fought the Finnish fighter Anette Österberg in the finale in B-class -57 kg. Österberg was ahead on points throughout the fight but still a very well executed tournament by Wikner.

Billy Bengtsson faced Dries Geerts from Belgium in the semi finale in B-class -63, 5 kg. Bengtsson was also much smaller than his opponent and he had some difficulties with Geerts mass. Geerts was also very good at hitting the last technique in every duel. Bengtsson did a good fight and he was the most technical fighter of the two. A bronze medal for Bengtsson.
