Luke Barnatt defends Venator middleweight Title

Luke ‘Bigslow’ Barnatt defeated Stefan Croitoru and retained his Venator FC middleweight title last weekend.

Stefan Croitoru was brought in to fight Luke Barnatt (11-3) from Tsunami Gym and Shooters MMA Fight Team at the last minute since Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller, who was supposed to face Barnatt from the beginning, weighed in 24 pounds overweight.

Venator FC 3 took place in Milan Italy on the 21st of May.

Barnatt struggled a bit in the opening round and Croitoru executed his gameplan to good effect. But Barnatt came back strongly in round two and attacked Croitoru with a series of kicks and hooks.

The fight then came to a sudden end in the second round when Barnatt KO:ed Croitoru with a well-placed kick. The referee ruled that Coritoru had had enough and stepped in to end the fight.
