John Maguire vs Brad Wheeler at Cage Warriors 74

John Maguire from Tsunami Gym in UK and Shooters MMA Fight Team is a five-time UFC veteran and he will be facing fellow Englishman Brad Wheeler in a lightweight bout at Cage Warriors 74.

Cage Warriors 74 takes place at the Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic Park on Saturday the 15th of November.

“The one” Maguire (19-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC) fights on home soil for the first time in over two years. He signed for Cage Warriors Fighting Championship last October and debuted with a unanimous-decision victory over Philip Mulpeter at CWFC 63.

Maguire:

“I’m very determined to show people that John Maguire has still got it. I’m not even thinking about title contention or anything like that at the moment.”

“Brad Wheeler has looked great in his last few fights and he’s on a bit of a roll, but the bottom line is that he’s not going to beat me.”

“The Crazy Kid” Wheeler (13-9 MMA) aims for his fifth successive win when he takes on Maguire in London and he has taken twelve of his thirteen career victories by stoppage, eleven of which have come via submission.

Wheeler:

“This is the biggest fight of my career so far and I’m looking forward to it a lot. I believe I’m up there among the very best lightweights in the UK and this is my opportunity to prove that.”
